Full Time Day (Diploma) Programs:

Recreation and Leisure Services

 

This program prepares students to work in a variety of settings, both public and private.  Graduates may find employment as recreation programmers, event planners and supervisors in non-profit, commercial or government settings like municipal recreation departments, volunteer and community agencies, social service agencies, hospitals, homes for the aged, half-way houses, group homes, rehabilitation centres and residential institutions.  For more curriculum and program information click here.

 

Recreation Facilities Management

 

This program prepares students to work a variety of settings as well.  This includes provincial, municipal and private recreational settings, such as sports facilities, resorts, health clubs, ski centres and tourist parks. For more curriculum and program information click here.

 

Part Time Evening (Certificate) Programs:

 

Fitness and Lifestyle Management Program

It is the aim of this Certificate program to produce graduates with the knowledge and skills to provide future clients with sound physical fitness and lifestyle management advice.  This would include the ability to design and conduct appropriate fitness and exercise programs and provide counselling in related areas such as nutrition and active living. Employment opportunities exist in private clubs, municipal or provincial government agencies, service clubs, YM-YWCA's, corporate programs, as well as many self employed opportunities.  For curriculum and program information click here.
