Admission Policy
As a parent, you may register your child or unborn child
as soon as you think you will want a space in the future.
A waitlist form is available online at www.childcareinformation.ca or by calling 613-248-3605. The waiting list for the ELC is quite extensive so we encourage parents to also look into other childcare options in the event a space is not available when required. If you are a student or a staff member of Algonquin College, please indicate that on the waitlist.
The ELC serves the child care needs of Algonquin
students and staff first, followed by the needs of the community when spaces are available. We maintain separate waiting lists for each of the three programs, the Infant, Toddler, and Preschool Programs. When spaces become available, they are offered to parents chronologically, by date of application.
Parents will be invited to a meeting, prior to enrollment, so you and your child can become acquainted with the Centre. An educator will answer your questions and complete registration forms. The child's routine and habits are discussed, and this information is passed on to all educators. A medical form must be filled out, in order to ensure that your child is in good health and that the necessary immunizations are current.
