"National Skilled Trades Day" Launched

John Baird, MP Ottawa West-Nepean, and Mike Holmes, of TV's Holmes on Homes, helped launch "National Skilled Trades Day" in Algonquin College's leading-edge Transportation and Building Trades on October 30.

Algonquin graduate Nathan Banke, international team member of Skills/Compétences Canada, was on hand to demonstrate his automotive skills and kick off National Skilled Trades Day with Minister Baird.

 

Nathan will compete in the World Skills Competition in Shizuoka, Japan, next November.
