Peter Biesterfeld
Coordinator
Peter has 30 years production experience as media producer and director, documentary maker, and freelance writer for fact-based independent film, television, and video production. He has served in a broad spectrum of roles for broadcasters including CBC, TVOntario, TSN, and CTV.
Over the past 15 years, Peter has been sharing his expertise through teaching documentary, single camera, field production, editing, and screenwriting for various private and public institutions.

Micheline Shoebridge
Micheline has been working in film and television for over 15 years. Within that time, she ran a film and television training centre for seven years and has Production Managed over 90 hours of television for the Comedy Network, Radio-Canada, TFO, the National Film Board and Canal Vie.
In the past couple of years, Micheline has moved onto producing. She has since produced a number of short films, music videos and commercials. Her first documentary was broadcast on CanWest Global in 2008 and she is presently producing a documentary for broadcast on TV5 in 2009.
Jacques Ménard
Producer and director of documentary films and television programs in the private sector for many years, Jacques Ménard was also a producer and Deputy Head of French Program (Documentary) at the National Film Board of Canada (1995-2002). Films he produced have been screened at the Toronto International Film Festival, Le Festival des films du monde de Montreal, HotDocs! as well as the Leipzig and Nyon documentary festivals. In 2005, The Recipe Diaries, his latest documentary as director, won Gold at the 2005 World Food Media Awards in Adelaide. As producer with Les Productions des collines, he has just finished Ma Part manquante for Télé-Québec’s “Questions de société” series and Arctic Hip Hop Hope for Global Television’s “Global Currents” strand. Jacques is also Vice-Chair of the Board of the Ottawa-Gatineau Film and Television Development Corporation.
André R. Lavoie
André started directing documentary films, corporate and educational videos upon graduating from the University of Ottawa in 1980 with an Honors degree in Communications. His projects were produced by the National Film Board, the Canadian International Development Agency, Balestra Productions, Productions Robert Charbonneau, Radio-Canada, TFO, TV5 and numerous other clients. The feature-length film ‘La Rage de Vaincre’ produced by the NFB in 1986 had a theatrical release and distributed by Cinepix–Famous Players. He is often called upon to do research, write proposals, shoot and direct a wide variety of projects. André continues to be active as a freelance director and is currently developing a number of feature-length documentary subjects.
