Algonquin first-year PR students donate $16,368.52 to Candlelighters

This year, the students' charity was Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Support Programs, a volunteer-run community organization that provides young cancer patients and their families with the support, comfort and resources they need to deal with the day-to-day impacts of this disease.

Since 1989, the first-year public relations students at Algonquin College have donated more than $125,000 to 19 community groups through their annual spring fundraising campaigns. |
