Work Placement

In addition to in-class studies, there is a two-week work placement experience. This is an excellent opportunity for students to put their skills to use and find out what employers expect from an Office Administration graduate.

Today’s office administration assistant is highly motivated, organized, computer savvy, people oriented individual who enjoys the challenges and fast pace of today’s modern office. A good office administrator is the key to a smooth operating, successful organization.

Student Work Placement Experiences

"The Office Administrative ~ Executive Program not only allowed me to fast track graduation, but it  presented the reality of today's fast pace environment, provided priceless computer and office skills, and allowed for personal growth.  Our ten day work placement was extremely valuable as it allowed us hands-on experience for the skills and knowledge gained from the program.  I would strongly recommend this program, especially to those who lack the current computer skills and need to update fast.  It is not just about office work, the opportunities are endless!"~Laura Stanzel~2006/2007 Student

"Work Placement is a wonderful hands-on way to experience a job before entering the job market.  A practical way to find out what you want to do with the education you obtained.  Working at an elementary school is not something I would have considered before coming to College as I would not have been qualified, but now I'm sure that is exactly what I want to do with my life."~Julie Meraw~2006/2007 Student

"Work Placement at the Perth and Smith Falls District Hospital has given me the experience and knowledge of what it is like to be a true Executive Administrative Assistant. The staff is friendly and they are willing to teach you new things. The experience gained is priceless."~
