Summary of the Application and Registration Procedure

Applicants to the Ontario Colleges of Applied Arts and Technology must submit an application form through ontariocolleges.ca:

An application fee (payable to ontariocolleges.ca) of $85, and an official transcript, must accompany the application form. Ontariocolleges.ca receives and records applications and student responses to offers of admission from the College(s). 

Students currently enrolled in an Ontario secondary school should contact their Guidance Office to apply.  For all other applicants, applications are available online at ontariocolleges.ca or from the Registrar's Office of any Ontario College of Applied Arts and Technology.  Applicants may select up to five (5) program choices with no more than three program choices at any one college.

For programs beginning in the Fall, all applications received on or before February 1 will be given equal consideration. Applications received after that date will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis as long as places are available. Note:  Applications for the Winter and Spring terms will be processed on a first-come first-served basis as long as places are available, beginning in September.

Applications will be evaluated according to published College and Program Eligibility criteria.

Offers of Admission will be issued February 5 for Fall Term for Open programs, and March 25 for highly competitive programs.  Winter and Spring Term applicants will be notified as their applications are processed, beginning in September.

Upon receipt of a letter of acceptance, applicants are required to confirm their acceptance by May 1, 2008 online at ontariocolleges.ca.  An applicant may accept only one Offer of Admission. Ontariocolleges.ca will notify the College(s) of the applicant's decision.  An Offer of Admission may be withdrawn if an applicant fails to confirm by the stipulated deadline.   Confirmation dues dates for Winter and Spring are indicated on the Offer of Admissions.

Completing an admission requirement. - You may earn conditional or special acceptance whereby a seat will be held for you in your chosen program provided all requirements for that program are met by August 1.

After confirming your acceptance through ontariocolleges.ca, you are encouraged to pay your first term tuition fees as soon as possible, and no later than the dates below:

  Term Fees Due By
  Fall July 15
  Winter November 15
  Spring April 1

An Offer of Admission may be withdrawn if an applicant fails to pay fees by the stipulated deadline.

Only applicants who have paid their full fees and have met all admission requirements will be eligible to register in their program. Registration is the final step in the admission/registration process.

Part-time Day Studies

Persons wishing to study on a part-time basis in a full-time program can do so after all full-time applicants have been screened, subject to space availability and with the approval of the  Chair. Applicants must meet all program admission requirements and must apply for admission through ontariocolleges.ca

Applicants seeking to be admitted to individual courses offered during the day may be permitted to do so with the approval of the Chair, if space is available. If, at any time, these students wish to register in a full-time program, they must make formal application for admission to the College through ontariocolleges.ca
