Work experience in Canada is vital to successful integration into the workforce.  STEP endeavors to help internationally trained individuals get the experience they need by providing mentoring opportunities and work placements.

Mentoring

Mentors are volunteer professionals who share their experience with internationally trained individuals. Mentors help participants manage cross cultural-transition; they can also help participants to enhance their employability by helping them secure and build professional and business contacts and networks. Prior to being paired with a mentor, participants will take part in a mentorship orientation.

For information about Career Mentoring or if you are interested in becoming a Volunteer Career Mentor, please contact us: 613-725-5671 Ext. 312 or by email at career.mentoring@ociso.org

or visit our website at www.ociso.org/employ-mentor.htm
