GeneSIS Curriculum Delivery Support

Introduction

The curriculum administrator provides guidance, administrative support and direction to the academic, administrative and support staff pertaining to: program and course creation and delivery; Credentials Validation Service (CVS) liaison, MTCU and College policies and procedures as they relate to funding and curriculum delivery; production of marketing initiatives and publications related to all types of full-time and part-time programs and courses offered at the College. The curriculum administrator works closely with the Registrar’s Office and ITS in the day to day operation, development enhancement and implementation of GeneSIS (the College’s primary information system for all curriculum and student administration), as well as Marketing on the production of College publications.

Curriculum Review Process

The curriculum administrator coordinates with the academic area and the Registrar’s Office the annual curriculum review of all full-time and part-time programs. The Curriculum Review Process provides the academic area with the opportunity to update Programs of Study and Program Narrative Information for the upcoming academic year.  Specifically, the goals of the process include assurance that curriculum is relevant, current and accurate, in effect, addressing industry needs as well as allowing students to make informed decisions. The Curriculum Administrator works closely with the academic area, the Registrar’s Office and the Marketing Group to ensure that updated curriculum is accurately reflected in GeneSIS. Debrief/Orientation meetings are scheduled in the fall with academic departmental chairs, coordinators and support staff in order to discuss challenges and successes of the previous review and to communicate highlights for the current review. Additionally, supporting documentation included on this site is intended to assist the academic area with the functionality of the process, as well as provide an elaborate account of the process.
