Student Experience

Hone your plumbing knowledge and skills

The Plumber Apprenticeship program at Algonquin College builds on students’ skills in assembling, installing and repairing piping, fittings, and fixtures, and fabricating water distribution, and draining, wasting, and venting systems, while adhering to the Ontario Building Code. The installations are inspected and approved by municipal inspectors; therefore, plumbers must know and apply the regulations governing plumbing installations. Prior to entering the in-class program, plumbing apprentices typically have worked in the field for approximately one year.
