Campaign Update: The Awet campaign exceeded the goal of 50,000 and has raised 54,900 however the goal has been extended to a $65,000. The additional funds will help build badly needed sanitation facilities like pit latrines and furnish the new dormitory.
Awet Secondary School is in Kambi Ya Simba (Camp of Lions), Karatu District, Tanzania. It is a very popular school because of its dedicated teachers and high test scores (first in the district). It has 649 students - 373 of which are young women - and there is only room in the girls' dormitory for 120 girls.
