Serengeti

July 20th – July 22nd – See the Calendar for the complete schedule

The project will wrap up with a visit to the Serengeti with a sustainable development theme. Sustainability is a foundational pillar of Small World Big Picture projects. In transcending borders and affecting our local, national and global communities, sustainability is clear indication of the interconnectedness of our modern world.

The diversity of species in the Serengeti, coupled with dwindling numbers of specific populations due to poaching and changing ecosystems presents a beautiful and important background to look at sustainability.

As the group travels in the Serengeti, the group will report back on related sustainable development successes and issues including the Serengeti eco-system and environmental strategies to protect the forest habitats and the wildlife. CAP will collect and transmit materials from different locations both environmental and community based.
