Algonquin College Hosts Second Career Strategy Open House: Up to $28,000 in government funding available for qualified applicants
Algonquin College’s Centre for Second Career Development is hosting an open house on Monday, July 28, at 85 Albert St., Suite 501, for those interested in beginning a second career.
The Government of Ontario recently created the Second Career Strategy, a program designed to assist laid-off workers make the transition to new careers in growing areas of the economy.
For those who qualify, government assistance can provide up to $28,000 towards tuition, living and transportation expenses.
Algonquin College Second Career Advisors will be available to speak to those interested in discussing second career strategies.
