Karen Foster Karen’s twelve years of progressive experience in the Retail Industry led to an opportunity to join Algonquin College in May 2000. Karen became Director of Ancillary Services in 2009. Karen holds a Honours Bachelor of Science in Forestry from Lakehead University. She is active in a number College committees and working groups including the steering groups for the construction of the Algonquin Centre of Construction Excellence and the Student Commons. Karen brought much expertise in her past role as board member of CRC (Campus Retail Canada) College. |

Shawn Davies General Manager, College Retail Services daviess@algonquincollege.com (613) 727-4723, ext 5137 / fax: (613) 727-7744 Shawn has been with College Retail Services since joining the College in 1992 and has occupied several posiitons within the operation including Assistant Manager, Systems & Adminstration, Assistant General Manager and now General Manager. Shawn has been acting in the position of General Manager since February 2009. Shawn holds memberships in Campus Retail Canada, The Canadian Collegiate Buying Group, Campus Stores Canada, the Eastern Association of College Stores, the National Association of College Stores and the National Association of College Auxiliary Services. |

Alanna McDonell Manager, Marketing and Conference Services, College Ancillary Services mcdonea@algonquincollege.com (613) 727-4723, ext 7140 / fax: (613) 727-7787 Prior to coming to work for the College, Alanna was the Director of Sales and Marketing for a manufacturer based outside of Cleveland, Ohio. Since coming to the College in 2002, she has served as the Marketing Manager for the College Ancillary Services. In addition to this position Alanna took on the role of Conference Services Manager in 2003. Alanna holds memberships with the Ottawa Tourism and Convention Authority, the Association of Collegiate Conference and Event Directors-International, Meeting Planners International and the College and University Conference Officers Association of Canada. |

Jarred Desjardins Jarred joined Algonquin College in 2007 as the Assistant Manager of Marketing and Card Programs. Just a short few years later he was appointed to the position of General Manager of Residence Services in May 2010. Before coming to Algonquin College, he held successive positions in student housing over the span of 15 years. Jarred holds memberships with the Ontario Association of College and University Housing Officers, College and University Conference Officers Association of Canada, and International Facility Managers Association.

Roch Lafond Manager, Parking, Lockers, Coin Ops & Card Services lafondr@algonquincollege.com (613) 727-4723, ext 7234 / fax: (613) 727-7617 Roch began his career at Algonquin College in 1994 as a parking enforcement officer with Security Services. He brings with him over 14 years experience in parking operations. In March 2003 he was appointed Parking Services Operations Supervisor, in April 2006 he became Asisstant Manager and in 2009 was appointed Manager. Roch holds memberships with the International Parking Institute, Canadian Parking Association, Ontario Campus Parking Association, National Association of Campus Card Users and has CCPFM designation. |
