Card Fees

All Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities (MTCU) funded full-time day program students get their first student card free of charge.

All English as a Second Language (ESL) International Students also get their first student card free.

Students studying under any of the following programs are required to pay a $15.00 fee for their student cards*:

Apprenticeship
Career and College Preparation (CCP)
Continuing Education (CE)
Corporate Training
Contact Training
English as a Second Language-Basic (ESL)
Fast Track Programs
Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC)
Part Time Students
Taxi Driver Program

*Anyone not listed as “Load: Full” on the Timetable

Update Stickers

Only MTCU funded, full-time day program students will have a “Valid For Semester” field on the card to represent the semester the card was printed in.

Update stickers are applied in subsequent terms as proof to both on and off campus officials that the person is in fact currently enrolled at Algonquin College.

Students wishing update stickers can go to either the Card Systems Office (C044A) or Customer Service Centre (H108C) with their Official Timetable and student card.

Note: All others categories of students will have their program labeled on the card itself which indicates the card is valid for as long as the student is enrolled at Algonquin College.
