The official Algonquin College student card is required by many departments and for many services around campus including:

• Campus Photocopiers - smart chip on card allows for discounted rates versus cash
• Identification - throughout the Algonquin College Community (security, exams, Fitness Zone, etc.)
• Meal Plans - used for Student and Staff food plan
• Registrar’s Office - proof of person and current status
• Financial Aid Office - collect OSAP funds
• Learning Resource Centre - book and audio visual equipment sign-out
• Computer Labs - access to labs, essential after-hours
• Health Plan - students wishing to receive discounts on medication and health services must provide a valid full-time student card
• Media and Photography Equipment - updated card needed to sign-out equipment
• Classroom Bookings - good for meetings or group presentation preparation
• Residence Equipment - required for signing out vacuums, pool cues, etc in the Algonquin College Residence and Conference Centre
• Package pick up - for students receiving shipments in Residence
• Sporting Events - students wishing to attend sporting events at the college can get into the event free with their valid student card
• Free Transparencies - Student's Association provides 20 transparencies to all full-time fee paying students per semester
