What Types of Research Can be Carried Out at Algonquin?

Our first rate professors and students and the College’s state of the art R& D infrastructure allow the College to:

  • Develop and verify prototypes (a prototype is a working model put together for testing);
  • Design Systems (the process of defining the archi- tecture, components, interfaces etc. for a computer system to meet certain requirements);
  • Test and analyze new functionalities (the capacity of computer program or application to provide a use- ful function);
  • Develop test beds (development environments that are shielded from the hazards of testing in live envi- ronments); and
  • Develop new applications for existing operating systems that further future social and economic growth.
