Vini Bhindi

Vini Bhindi provides administrative support at Algonquin College for ESL International programs in the Language Institute.  He was re-elected by the Support Staff employee group to represent them on the Board of Governors for a second three-year term beginning in September, 2005, and also served a previous term on the Board representing the Support Staff from 1996 - 1999.  Vini joined the College in 1988 and has worked in a variety of positions in the Finance Department, the Registrar’s Office and the Algonquin College Language Institute.  

Vini has a number of College diplomas and certificates to his credit including:  Recreation Management, Advanced Police Sciences, Conflict Resolution and the Ontario Management Skills program.   Vini has served as President of the Support Staff Union and as a Union Steward.  He also served on the College Academic Council from March 2002 to April 2006.  As of December 2006 Vini will be a member of the Education Safety Association of Ontario (ESAO).
