Cecile started her third major career at Algonquin College in 1995 as a full time professor. For the first seven years, she was also a part-time professor in Accounting at the University of Ottawa.

After graduating from the University of Ottawa with a B. Admin. and a B. Comm., she joined an international Accounting firm, which is now known as KPMG and spent ten years with them mainly performing audits for several types and sizes of clients, including public companies. She obtained her designation as a Chartered Accountant early in this first career. She spent the following ten years being the chief financial officer of four firms. Three were engineering firms, and the last was an international law firm now named of Gowling, Lafleur Henderson LLP.

She has therefore worn many hats in the past and has seen different perspectives on the usefulness of accounting information. She gained some appreciation of how this information assists many different people inside and outside of organisations in making decisions for the future.

As with all Chartered Accountants in Canada, she obtained my CPA (Chartered Professional Accountant) designation in November, 2012.
