Air Systems Design
Course: HRA5594
This is one of the two advanced courses for students who have completed the foundational courses in BES Operator Certificate II. Students explore the vocabulary, operations and various applications of air-handling equipment used in large buildings. Students study the design, application and operating characteristics of hydronic piping systems equipment, including fan and blower operations, filtration and indoor air quality issues. The standards, resources and current research of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE)are also introduced.

Prerequisite
In order to receive the Class I certification, eligible candidates must first complete the Class II certification process.
Course manuals are included in the tuition fee. Students will receive their manuals during the first class. We encourage students to register early to ensure that you have your course materials for your first class, as they traditionally take 5-7 business days to arrive.
