American Sign Language Level 101

This course is part of the following part-time on campus and/or online program(s):

Students learn the basics of American Sign Language using model dialogues with the instructor and other students to communicate with members of the Deaf Community. Students learn and practise the facial and hand gestures necessary to ask and answer questions, and use spatial referencing to exchange simple personal information, talk about surroundings, tell where they live, and talk about their family and activities. Learning activities include games and exercises with the instructor and other students and completion of home study activities.
