Basics of Library Management

Course: LIB2035

Libraries are organizations that require management of their staff and resources. Students investigate policies and procedures for budgeting, planning, hiring, and supervising. Topics include strategic planning mission statements, goals, objectives, and mandates. Students explore the role of the library in support of social responsibility, economic impact and environmental sustainability. Through case studies and scenarios, students develop fundamental skills for library management.
