Digital Audio Production
This course is part of the following part-time on campus and/or online program(s):
Students explore editing, arranging and production of songs and music to take production skills to the next level. Building on experience with Cubase or similar audio/sequencing software, students learn automation and mixing techniques, advanced equalization, grouping channels, sound effects, processing, and how to convert vinyl and tape to audio CD and MP3 files.
Students are required to bring their own laptop (Windows or Mac) with Cubase Artist 8 software loaded (academic version approx. $200), headphones, and a USB memory stick (minimum 4GB).
The Cubase Artist 8 software (academic version) is available at Steve's Music in Ottawa (approx. $200) but we recommend contacting the store first to ensure it is in stock.
