Energy Efficiency for Large Buildings

Course: BSC5534

This is one of the two advanced courses for students who have completed the foundational courses in the BES Operator Certificate II. Students learn to analyze energy consumption in all aspects of large building operations including: the building envelope, heating systems, cooling systems and heat pumps, air handling systems, air quality motors and electrical systems, lighting systems and building control systems. The technical topics are supplemented by energy management processes such as estimating, contracting, planning, energy audits and applying appropriate standards and guidelines.
