Students combine a hands-on practice and theoretical approach to study all aspects of engine rebuilding. Starting with a diagnostic approach, students learn how to properly perform cylinder compression tests and how to interpret those test results. Students then explore the best practices and approaches to engine removal and disassembly, while learning about and using disassembly and measurement tools. Students also identify common problem and wear areas within the engine. Common machine shop practices are explored.
