History of Furniture and Decoration II

This course is part of the following part-time on campus and/or online program(s):

Students continue their exploration of different periods from the end of the Georgian period through to furniture designers of the 21st century. Construction methods and materials are covered in more depth and specific colour and fabric influences are explored. Exercises assist students in identifying specific styles and how they can be used in residential interiors. Sustainable materials are introduced and students develop new furniture prototype models exploring the use of these materials.
