Human resources professionals often work in unionized environments which provide a specific set of opportunities and challenges for an organization. Students appreciate the history and influence unions have in the Canadian work environment. Students analyze the union movement, the certification processes, the collective bargaining process and employee management in a unionized workplace. Students simulate best practices in a unionized workplace.
