Interview Techniques

Course: INV3011

Conducting interviews is a critical step in an investigation. In this course, topics such as obtaining an admissible admission from a suspect is covered, along with the legal requirements surrounding oral and written statements. Students gain sensitivty to the cultural differences in relation to the interview, and learn how to accomodate various needs accordingly. Students also learn the basics of victim, witness and suspect interviews using various interview techniques.
