Introduction to Project Management

Course: MGT2235

Students are provided with an overview of the tools and techniques used in the field of project management. Entrepreneurs utilize project management in every aspect of their business as projects abound and resources are limited. A basic understanding of the theories is accomplished and complimented with basic hands-on skills in MSProject. Students learn through the use of the software, basic project planning, team building, creation of schedules, a method of communicating project information, assigning resources to a project and tracking the project progress. Critical thinking and problem solving are required as is a demonstration of software competencies where students complete their online activities independently. Students are required to complete a case study utilizing both theory and MSProject software.
