Introduction to Revit

Course: CAD8104

This course demonstrates the basic commands of Revit in order to produce working and presentation drawings. Students learn basic element creation, use modification tools, and import and export files and libraries. Wall, floor and roof creation tools, views and cameras are setup to present the design. Topics include dimensioning, the use of level and section tools and how to label. Students create a simple set of basic drawings and produce 3D models of a house and a commercial building.


Students are required to bring a USB memory stick to class (minimum 4GB).

As part of the tuition fee, students are given access to the AutoDesk website where they can download a 3-year student version of the required AutoCAD software and access current tutorials.
