Library of Congress Classification

Course: LIB2042

For larger libraries, a different classification system is used to assist in the organization of the collection. Students apply the theoretical framework used by the Library of Congress Classification scheme to support these larger libraries. Through practical exercises and reflection, students apply international standards and incorporate emerging methodologies for classification.
