Nursing Foot Care for the Complex Client

Course: NSG6780

This course is part of the following part-time on campus and/or online program(s):

Students explore in a classroom setting the specialized needs of the complex client. Students also explore the development and implementation of care maps reflecting the complexity of clients with multiple disease processes, such as diabetes, dementia, Parkinson's disease and how our care for their feet is impacted. Newly acquired practical skills and knowledge utilized in the assessment and treatment of complex foot pathologies including wound care and compression therapy are practised in a lab setting at the College. Newly acquired knowledge and skills are utilized in a retirement home setting.


Must be a licensed Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse.

This is a hybrid course (a combination of on campus and online).
