Students receive foundation information on the security industry including the changes in the industry as a result of the new Private Security and Investigative Services Act, 2005. Students discover the challenges and benefits of becoming a security guard by exploring such topics as security procedures, report writing, health and safety, emergency response preparation, communications, sensitivity training and more. This course includes Emergency First Aid and Level A CPR. NOTE: This course is required for all individuals wishing to become licensed in security by the Private Security and Investigative Services Branch of the Ontario Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services.
