Sexual Health and Development

Sexuality is an integral part of the lives of child and youth care practioner and the clients and families they serve. Students review basic information related to the social, emotional and physiological aspects of human sexuality which affect children and youth. Students explore their values and attitudes about sexuality and practise becoming comfortable discussing this important subject. Students learn to identify issues and engage clients in healthy and positve discussions about sexuality.
