Strategic Supply Chain Management

Course: MGT5191

This course focuses on the current organizational transitions impacting supply chain management such as: a shift from focusing on internal systems to focusing on the supply chain, from a local focus to a global focus, from an emphasis on tools and techniques to an emphasis on systems, people and processes, and to a holistic focus on organizational sustainability. Students will learn about the strategic role of supply chain management, product/process innovation, inventory management, the integration of internal and external relationships, customer relationship management, supply management, planning approaches and technologies across the supply chain and managing change in the supply chain.
