Theories and Practice of Social Service Work Counselling

Theory provides the practitioner the ability to organize observations and information to help explain why clients do what they do. There is a strong association between professionalism and a credible theory-based practice. Building on interviewing skills, students learn major theoretical approaches to social service work counselling. Role playing is used to incorporate theories into their practice.
