Victims and the Canadian Justice System

An overview of the role of victims in the Canadian Justice System (CJS) is provided. The history of the victim's role in the CJS and the progression of the victim's rights movement is examined. Students identify the needs and rights of victims involved in the justice system and suggest ways that these can be addressed.
