Woodworking II

Course: WOO5503

Students expand their woodworking skills to focus on the safe use of power tools and machines, while continuing to develop hand tool skills. This course covers design and planning, preparation of cutting lists, material selection and calculations, cabinet construction joinery techniques and surface preparation. Safe shop practices as well as the care and maintenance of machines and tools are emphasized throughout. All supplies are included in the course fee and each student will complete a bedside table project, which will be ready for finishing (in WOO5573).
