Students from the Dental Hygiene Program have put together a quit smoking contest, called the 30 Day Butt-Out Challenge. It is for student smokers at the college to help them quit smoking. The booth will be set up in D building outside of the book store on February 21 and March 5 from 12:30 to 3:30 to come out and enter the contest. The official quit date is March 17 until April 15. The contest was put together as part of a school project, and it has really taken off with many departments contributing to the list of prizes. The winner will be drawn the week of April 15th. Some of the prizes include a membership to the Fitness Zone and a gift certificate for the massage clinic. It's simple...BUTT OUT TO WIN!!

Just Voices, Ottawa’s choir of peace, social justice and the environment, is presenting an Earth Day concert featuring Jenny Whiteley, Juno-award winning folksinger. The concert will take place at 7:30 PM on Tuesday April 22, at First Unitarian Church, 30 Cleary Avenue.Proceeds from this concert will go to groups working for a moratorium on uranium mining in Ontario. Tickets are $12 in advance or $15 at the door. Please check the website justvoices.ca for more details.
