Live Laugh Learn is Algonquin's employee newsletter "by the people for the people". The newsletter publishes articles written by your colleagues relating to various lifestyle and campus life topics. It is a place to find quick tips, have a chuckle, and read articles on topics you can relate to.

myAlgonquin
(accessible through the College intranet only)
myAlgonquin is a way to stay in touch what is happening at all three College campuses. By email, "Good Morning Algonquin" sends out a daily listing of new items that have been added to the notice board. The site also includes, among other things, a corporate directory for employee contact information.

Staff Cont@ct is an online publication that highlights news and events taking place at the College.

The Algonquin Times
The Algonquin Times is the school newspaper that is published by Journalism students from the School of Media and Design.

Webmail
All employees of the College have an Algonquin College email account. (If you do not have an email account, request one through your department.)Email services at the College are web-based. Therefore, email can be accessed from anywhere you have internet access by visiting https://owa.algonquincollege.com.

The School of Part-Time Studies publishes a quarterly newsletter that highlights important news and events.

Academic

Learning and Teaching Newsletter
Archived newsletters, published by Learning and Teaching Services, that provide news, events and teaching resources for both full-time and part-time faculty are available here. This newsletter has evolved into Live Laugh Learn which, in addition to covering learning and teaching articles, includes topics of general interest to all Algonquin employees.

Blackboard
Blackboard is the internet-based platform by which faculty and students communicate and collaborate with each other. Each course at the College will have a Blackboard course space associated with it. Announcements and email are primary means by which teachers communicate important course information to their students.

Other College Communications

Throughout the year, the President of Algonquin hold events during which he informs the College community of notable achievements and key initiatives for the upcoming year. Events include the President's Breakfast, monthly coffee breaks and a "Thank-You" Barbecue".
