MENTEES ROLES AND RESPONISIBILITIES

The obligations of the mentee are:

• Being committed to participate in the mentoring program for duration of 6 months
• Attend training workshops
• Being fully available to participate and attend to the mentorship relationship for at least 24 hrs during a period of six months. Approximately 1 hr/week
• Communicating in mutually agreed-upon ways

The mentee’s role is to:

• Make expectations clear
• Seek and listen to constructive feedback
• Make yourself accessible
• Communicate clearly and listen actively and empathetically
• Ask questions
• Ask for clarification and help as needed

The mentee’s responsibilities consist of:

• Familiarizing yourself with the on ling course “Being Mentored for Success"
• Staying actively engaged in the mentorship process
• Completing online course requirements
• Communicating regularly with Mentee coordinator
