Unisex (“Family”) Washrooms

Ottawa Campus

Several bathrooms on the Ottawa campus are considered unisex washrooms (view campus map). Most of them also serve people with mobility issues and therefore have a wheelchair accessibility logo on them. Others are labeled as “Family” washrooms. Alternatively, students may be able to negotiate a private change room or washroom with the department on a case-by-case basis; please connect with your Program Coordinator or Department Chair.

  • H207 (H Building) – Unisex (family)/wheelchair accessible.
  • 1st Floor, ACCE/CA Building – This is a single-occupant family washroom located by the exit closest to the bus stop.
  • A121C and A221A (A Building) – Both are accessed through the entrance to the gymnasium (not the Fitness Zone). Ask the front desk to borrow the key, as both are locked.
  • Student Commons (E Building) – Each floor has a unisex washroom. On the 1st floor, the washroom is located beside Starbucks. On the 2nd floor, it is across the hall from the SA Clubs & Communities Room. On the 3rd floor, the washroom is beside the Welcome Centre.
  • Jack Doyle Athletics and Recreation Centre aka ARC (X building): All Washrooms and Locker Rooms are unisex on each floor.
