Algonquin College - one of only two colleges in Ontario that have been granted the right to offer the Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Arts (Interior Design). Developed in response to high market demand and economic forecasts indicating a strong ongoing need, this program produces accomplished graduates who are in demand across Canada and around the world. Graduates consistently place very well in the ARIDO (Association for Interior Designs of Ontario) award competitions. Algonquin’s Interior Design program is accredited by the Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA) (formerly FIDER) and conforms to industry standards set by official interior design professional bodies. As a student in this program, you are trained to think critically, identifying and solving complex design problems so that you may positively affect the world. The program’s unique laptop component provides you with the opportunity to gain relevant expertise working with the latest software used by the professional design industry. With the longest co-op opportunity available (20 weeks at the beginning of fourth year), Algonquin's Interior Design program provides you with not only the skills you need to succeeed, but also the comprehensive work experience that gives you a real foot in the door.
