Registered Practical Nurse – Operating Room

PLEASE NOTE: This online program has a one (1) residency lab component (NSG6760). NSG6760 will be completed on campus at Algonquin College (Woodroffe Campus).

If you are a Registered Practical Nurse with one year of acute care experience, this program gives you the technical and theoretical basis for working in the perioperative setting.

Learn operating room practices, techniques and procedures as well as pre- and post-operative phases of intraoperative care.

The program is approved by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities.

Prior to entry into the program, students are required to complete an application form. Click here for a form. Once received, the student is assessed for eligibility into the program.
