OMDP BUSINESS MANAGEMENT SKILLS
The Ontario Management Development Program (OMDP) provides you with the fundamentals of management in combination with the interpersonal skills required to make you a leader in the ever-changing business environment. Developed and administered in association with business, industry, and provincial government representatives, the OMDP offers two certificate programs: one focusing on business management skills and the other concentrating on leadership skills.
Students learn from each other, as well as from the course leaders and materials. Each course entails 30 hours of instruction.
Each certificate requires the completions of six courses: two compulsory and four electives. Up to two electives may be any OMDP elective or non-OMDP course(s) designated as appropriate by the Algonquin College OMDP Coordinator. Substitute courses must include at least 30 hours of instruction. Only the Communications and Human Relations courses can be applied to both certificates.
The courses may be taken in any order. To qualify for your certificate, the program must be completed within three years. Please note that the certificate application must also be submitted within the three year timeframe.
