CONVENTIONS AND MEETINGS MANAGEMENT CERTIFICATE PROGRAM

The convention, exposition and meeting industry continues to grow. Increasingly, organizations in this industry are requiring trained professionals to meet their needs.

This certificate program is designed to provide professional training and credentials by updating the knowledge and skills of those presently pursuing, or wishing to pursue, a career in one of the many areas of this multi-faceted industry. For graduates already employed in this field, the skills and understanding developed as a result of this program will enhance opportunities for career advancement.

Graduates new to the industry may find employment as meeting planners in corporations, trade and professional associations, convention/visitor bureaus, and specialized travel agencies. Graduates may also find a variety of career opportunities on the supply side of the industry: trade shows, congress/convention centers, in-hotel catering/banquet facilities and sales and marketing departments.
