HOME INSPECTOR CERTIFICATE

If you are interested in becoming a licensed home inspector or simply want to learn about the Ontario Building Code and residential buildings, this certificate program provides the technical skills to expand your knowledge of electrical, plumbing, heating systems, and home inspections.

To qualify for this certificate, you must complete the program within two years.

The program is endorsed by the Ontario Association of Home Inspectors (OAHI), the Canadian Association of Home and Property Inspectors (CAHPI) and the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC). To join the OAHI and apply for the Registered Home Inspectors designation (RHI), you must complete the core courses. In addition, students may need to show proof of completion of a specific number of paid inspections as well as submit registration/certification exams and comply with regulations as stated by specific certifying bodies.
