MEDICAL TRANSCRIPTION

This program provides students with the theoretical and practical knowledge using simulated case studies to meet the needs of the medical community for skilled medical transcriptionists.

The program combines the theoretical and practical applications required in this specialized field. Students apply theoretical knowledge to the accurate transcription, within a specified time limit, of complex medical reports and correspondence generated by the many specialties.

Program Requirements: Students are advised to have experience with word processing software. A student should be able to key at 30-40 wpm.
