NURSING UNIT CLERK

This program prepares students for the challenging and rewarding career of providing clerical and administrative support for a hospital unit or health care institution. Students develop office management and business communications skills for the healthcare environment, and acquire a thorough understanding and ability to interpret and relay medical terminology, medical conditions, pharmacology, surgical procedures, and medical tests.

Graduate employment opportunities include entry level positions in hospitals, doctor offices, long-term care facilities, agencies, walk-in agencies/clinics, and organizations such as VON, Red Cross.
