STRATEGIC HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT CERTIFICATE PROGRAM

The program attempts to address the skills needed to enhance a manager's ability to manage hospitality operations In an ever-changing world. It includes skills needed by the managers of today's hotels and restaurants when dealing with revenue management, marketing, technology, human resources, dealing with change in the environment, information overload and especially managing an orientation which empathizes with the customer in an industry which is often focused on the bottom line.

Above all, this program addresses the need for managers to generate and implement effective, timely and innovative strategies to compete in our ever-changing industry.

Graduates will be much more in tune with changes in the industry in a way that will make them and their businesses more competitive, in tune with the needs of the guest, and especially more able to adapt to rapid change during slowdowns in guest visits. Graduates will also be able to use opportunities that the changing environment provides by implementing operational change in a timely fashion. To obtain this certificate, students must successfully complete 8 core compulsory courses.
